Spearfishing Introduction
What Is Spearfishing?
Spearfishing is a form of hunting used by free-divers to catch fish. It gives the hunter the ability to pick and choose which fish to take and avoid the unnecessary killing of other marine life.
Unlike fishing, where you don't know what you're going to reel in, you can target specific fish and ensure you only take what you are allowed to keep!
Some people believe that spearfishing is a 'cheats' way of catching fish. They believe that it's as easy as finding a fish and shooting it. Well it's certainly not cheating and it is not as easy as just jumping in the water and shooting loads of fish.
I'm not saying it's extremely difficult to catch a lot of fish by spearfishing. I just want you to know that it usually takes a bit of experience before you start taking home big catches.
